Baby giraffe born in Cyprus

The Paphos Zoo has announced the birth of their new resident.

For the first time ever in Cyprus, a baby giraffe was born.

The calf was born 10 days ago, but it was shown to public for the first time just 2 days ago.

For the mother Eleni it is the first offspring. The father of the baby Achilles is currently kept separate from the mother and calf because the Zoo management is unsure how he will react to the newborn.
