Cyprus beer deliveries fall 1.2% in September as exports slump
Cystat figures show September beer deliveries totalled 4.32 million litres, with higher domestic sales offset by an 84.4% decline in exports.

Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus recorded a 1.2 per cent annual decrease in beer deliveries in September 2026, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat). A steep fall in exports outweighed growth in deliveries within the country.
Domestic growth offset by export decline
Cystat reported September deliveries of 4.32 million litres overall, compared with 4.37 million litres in September 2025.
Domestic deliveries increased to 4.29 million litres, a rise of 2.4 per cent from the 4.19 million litres recorded a year earlier. Export volumes dropped to 28,577 litres, down 84.4 per cent from 183,503 litres in September 2025.
Deliveries lower than in August
The figures showed that overall deliveries were 2.2 per cent below the August 2026 total of 4.42 million litres.
Deliveries within Cyprus grew by 1.5 per cent on a monthly basis from August’s 4.22 million litres. Exports decreased by 85.1 per cent from the previous month’s 192,313 litres.
First nine months total 33.60 million litres
Cystat’s figures put deliveries for January–September 2026 at 33.60 million litres, comprising 32.37 million litres for the domestic market and 1.23 million litres for export.
Calculations using Cystat’s monthly percentage changes indicated that overall deliveries in that nine-month period were approximately 2.3 per cent below the equivalent 2025 level. Domestic deliveries were largely unchanged, with an approximately 0.6 per cent decrease over that period.
