Forest fires appear in Cyprus once again

The forest in the Paphos District near the Anarita and Agia-Varvara villages is on fire since yesterday.

10 fire engines are trying to extinguish the fire from the ground with the help of the helicopters. The strong wind makes the situation much worse, because it assists the spreading of the fire to the nearby territories making it more difficult to extinguish.

5 hectares of forest has already been destroyed. Luckily, the residents of the villages are not in danger.
