Workshop programme
The Nature, Sun and Cyanotype in the Village series will be held in collaboration with the community councils of the two villages. The workshops are funded by the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
Sessions in Pedoulas, in Nicosia district, are scheduled for August 13, September 5 and September 13. Workshops in Ayios Theodoros Pitsilias, in Limassol district, will take place on August 14, September 6 and October 4.
All sessions will run from 10am to 1pm, except the September 5 workshop in Pedoulas, which will take place from 3pm to 6pm.
Cyanotype process
The workshops will introduce participants to cyanotype, a photographic printing method dating from the 1840s. Participants will create prints using sunlight, plants collected in the villages and photosensitive material.
Each session will include a walk through the village, during which participants will observe the surroundings and gather natural materials for their prints. Participants will take home the botanical cyanotypes they produce.

Entrance is free and registration is required. Workshops will be held in Greek, with English available upon request.
