Nicosia, Cyprus. KPMG Cyprus is integrating artificial intelligence, digital tools and innovation more deeply into its work as businesses face increasingly complex regulatory, technological and sustainability demands, the firm said. It says the change is increasingly in how services are delivered, rather than which services are offered.

Technology in professional services

After more than seven decades in Cyprus, KPMG employs more than 750 professionals across six cities. It provides Audit, Tax, Legal and Advisory services and draws on the expertise of its international network.

The firm said technology is being used to automate parts of traditional professional work and analyse larger volumes of information. This is intended to give staff more time for work requiring judgement, risk assessment and interpretation.

KPMG Clara, the firm’s digital audit platform, incorporates data analytics, automation and AI into the audit process. According to KPMG, it is intended to make audits more efficient and allow professionals to focus on analysis and professional judgement rather than repetitive tasks.

Generative AI and oversight

KPMG said AI is becoming a larger part of this shift. Its global collaboration with Anthropic and the KPMG Digital Gateway Powered by Claude are aimed at expanding the use of generative AI in Tax, Legal and private-market investment work.

The firm said wider use of AI within businesses also makes governance, security, transparency and human oversight increasingly important.
