Limassol, Cyprus. The 2026 Limassol Wine Festival will open on Saturday and run until October 4, featuring music, food, wine and traditional entertainment. Mayor Yiannis Armeftis said the municipality is ready to welcome thousands of visitors.


Opening and programme

The official opening will take place at 8pm under the Vrakas statue, in the presence of Communications Minister Evi Tsolaki.

Armeftis invited the public to attend the festival and enjoy its programme and traditional atmosphere.

The programme includes 14 concerts at the stage under the Vrakas statue and at the Municipal Garden Theatre. Performances will include traditional songs, rembetiko, rock and pop, as well as evenings dedicated to Greek and Cypriot composers.

Culture, food and activities

The festival will feature Cypriot comedy and performances by folklore groups, highlighting the island’s cultural heritage.

Local wineries will operate stands where visitors can sample wines and traditional food.

A children’s activity area will offer shadow theatre, juggling, stilt walkers, art workshops and pottery workshops.

Events beyond Limassol

The festival will also include events in the wine-producing communities of Ayios Mamas and Arsos.

Free bus services will operate between Limassol and Nicosia, Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Paphos on September 26 and 27 and on October 2, 3 and 4.
