London, United Kingdom. The Cyprus Talent Pathway Showcase, aimed at identifying British-Cypriot and Cyprus-eligible footballers, will take place at Capital City College’s Enfield Centre from October 27 to 30.

The initiative is intended to create a route into Cypriot football for young players outside existing scouting and recruitment networks.

Player assessments

Football sessions will be held from 2pm to 4pm and are open to players aged between 16 and 21.

Participants will be assessed by a coaching team including former Premier League striker Matt Derbyshire, former Trinidad and Tobago international goalkeeper Kelvin Jack and coach Mike Pieri.

StepOut AI technology will also be used to analyse performances and produce data that can be presented to clubs and football stakeholders in Cyprus.

Education and industry links

The initiative has the support of the Cyprus Footballers Association (PASP), which will offer participants the opportunity to join its educational programme.

Players who obtain an amateur or professional contract with a Cypriot club in 2026 or 2027 may be eligible for academic scholarships of up to 75 per cent at PASP partner private higher education institutions in Cyprus.

The showcase is also working with Superior Squad Management, providing participants with a further connection to the professional football industry.

Community outreach

London Greek Radio has joined the initiative as its official media partner. Organisers said the partnership would help reach the British-Cypriot and wider Greek community in the United Kingdom.

They said the showcase was designed to address the gap between the large Cypriot community in Britain and football scouting networks in Cyprus, allowing eligible players to be assessed and introduced to opportunities in the Cypriot game.
