New community park inaugurated in Kritou Marottou

Kritou Marottou, Cyprus. Government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis inaugurated a new community park in Kritou Marottou on Sunday, saying development gains meaning when it improves life in even the smallest communities. The park is named after Bishop Nikiforos of Kykkos and Tylliria, who was born in the village.

Rural investment

Letymbiotis, representing President Nikos Christodoulides, said investment in rural communities was essential to maintaining their vitality and strengthening Cyprus as a whole.

Bishop Nikiforos inaugurated the park alongside Letymbiotis.

Community space

In a social media post, Letymbiotis said the project was more than the completion of infrastructure, describing it as a new space for community life.

He said the park would be a place where children grow up, families meet, friendships form and new memories are created.

Development and growth

Letymbiotis said the value of rural development projects lay in their effect on everyday life and their contribution to keeping communities vibrant.

He added that Cyprus’ strong economic growth was increasing the country’s capacity to invest in the needs of citizens and local communities.

“For the government and the President of the Republic, development acquires real meaning when it reaches even the smallest community, translating into a better quality of life, more infrastructure, opportunities and prospects,” he said.

Letymbiotis congratulated the Kritou Marottou community council and all those who contributed to the project, adding that every village gaining more life, care and prospects strengthened Cyprus as a whole.
