Paphos expands QR-code smart signage programme to 23 sites
Paphos tourism bodies have completed a fifth phase of smart QR-code signage, adding information points at monuments and attractions across the district.

Paphos, Cyprus. Paphos tourism bodies have completed the fifth phase of a smart signage programme, installing 23 QR-code signs at monuments and other points of interest during the past two years.
Ancient oak information point
The more than 500-year-old oak tree in the community of Fyti is among the sites included in the programme. A smart QR-code sign has been in place at the natural monument for almost two years.
Visitors can scan the code and select a preferred language on their device to access information about the ancient oak, forest protection, the benefits of trees for people and nature, and tree life cycles. The material also includes photographs and videos.
Sites across the district
The fifth phase was completed in Yeroskipou, Akamas, Chloraka, Choli, Salamiou, Simou and Drousia.
The programme forms part of efforts to develop Paphos as a smart destination. A sixth phase, covering more than 18 additional locations, has already been planned.
