Limassol, Cyprus. A 56-year-old man remains in critical condition following a collision between an electric scooter and a motorcycle, police said on Monday. The crash occurred at around 6pm on Sunday on Chrysostomos Hadjipavlou Street.


Collision and injuries

Police said the man was riding the electric scooter when he collided with a motorcycle driven by a 35-year-old man.

The impact caused the motorcycle to skid across the road before coming to rest beneath a parked bus.

Both riders were taken by ambulance to private hospitals in Limassol. Doctors said the scooter rider suffered a skull fracture, a ruptured spleen and a collapsed lung.

The motorcyclist sustained cuts and bruises.

Investigation

The 35-year-old motorcyclist underwent breathalyser and drug tests, both of which were negative.

Limassol police are continuing their investigation.
