Snow and sleet restrict access on several Troodos mountain roads, police say

Nicosia, Cyprus. Snow and sleet in the higher Troodos mountains have made several roads accessible only to vehicles equipped with anti-skid chains or four-wheel drive, police said on Wednesday. Drivers were urged to be especially careful.

Roads with restricted access

Police said the affected road networks include the Platres – Troodos and Karvounas – Troodos roads, as well as the Prodromos – Troodos road. The same conditions apply to the Kyperounda – Chandria road.

Slippery roads remain open

The Papoutsa – Agios Theodoros and Papoutsa – Agros roads remain open but are slippery, police said.
