The residents of Ayia-Varvara region in Paphos are worries that the gold processing factory will be harmful for their health. Recently, it was found out that the investors filed the application for construction of the gold processing factory, which will be located just 80-100 meters from the residential houses.

People think that it may be harmful for them because during chlorine is used in the gold processing, which is extremely dangerous when inhaled.

However future owners assure people that on 17-18 kg of chlorine will be used per day, so it will not pose any threat to the surrounding residents.
