Turkish researchers have discovered parts the the Goddess’ statue

Near the Bozbourun peninsula, near the Greek Dodekanes islands, the Turkish underwater explorers have discovered a part of unique terracotta sculpture.

Possibly the statue, which sunk during a ship wreck, depicts a Cypriot goddess. The finding, which is 60 cm was found at the depth of 43 m and its approximate age is 2700 years.

Several amphorae and ceramic tiles were also discovered near the statue, which are dated  7^th century B.C.

It has already been confirmed that the items were crafted in Cyprus.
