Vatican supports peaceful resolution of the Cyprus problem

The Secretary of Vatican said that the Holy State will support the creation of the peaceful and safe situation in Cyprus in every possible way.

During the meeting in Nicosia with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Archbishop Gallagher also discussed the political situation in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria. The special attention was drawn to the matter of migrants and protection of the human rights of the Christian minorities in the Middle East, including Mosul region.

According to the representative of Vatican, Cyprus must protect the religious heritage.
