The cello and piano concert

The Pharos Arts Foundation will open the new season of 2016 with the concert of one of the most charismatic and famous piano players of the world – Sergei Babayan.

Sergey Babayan – is the piano player, whose performances are filled with the rare emotional and brave energy, and whose musical interpretations are are highlighted by the sense of depth and performance.

The Sergey Babayan’s concert will feature the resident of the Pharos foundation – cello player Alexander Chaushian.

The programme of the concert:

• Claude Debussy: Sonata for cello and piano in d minor, L. 135 (1915);
• Dmitry Shostakovich: Sonata in d minor for cello and piano, Op. 40(1934);
• Ludwig van Beethoven: Variations for cello and piano in f major on Mozart’s Ein Mädchen Oder Weibchen”, Op. 66 (1796);
• Ludwig van Beethoven: Sonata for cello and piano no 3 in a major, Op. 69 (1808).
