While the CIT vehicle was at the parking lot, two robbers armed with handgun and a bat attacked the guards of the security company. The third criminal was waiting in the getaway vehicle parked nearby.
After beating up one of the guards, robbers took 100,000 EUR and escaped on a white car. Cash from the supermarket in Limassol was pending delivery to the bank.
The police officers found out that the car used by robbers was registered as stolen in Paphos. The registration plates were also stolen from another vehicle, which belongs to a resident of Limassol.
Investigation is underway.
