Cyprus government has already signed a contract with Melco Hard Rock consortium, which includes Melco International, Hard Rock and CNS Group.

According to the preliminary data, the construction of the casino in Monte Caputo club area will be completed by the end of 2019. The project is estimated at 558 million USD and will include 136 gambling tables, 1200 slot machines, as well as the hotel for 500 rooms, restaurants, a conference room and a wellness centre.

In addition, the gambling house in Limassol will be linked to 4 other “satellite casinos” in Paphos, Larnaca, Famagusta and Nicosia.

Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, said that the total investment will exceed half a billion euro and will create over 4,000 jobs.

As it was reported earlier, the decision to build the largest casino in Cyprus was made in 2013. However, only now, 4 years later, certain steps have been taken to implement the project.
