Two major fires in Limassol broke out simultaneously on Sunday.
The fire near the Perekklisia village was under control by 18:00. However the fire managed to damage 6 hectares of wild bushes. During this time, the firemen managed to find and rescue three hunters, who were trapped by the fire. One of them was admitted to the hospital due to respiratory problems.
Due to the strong gusts of wind, the fire near the Lofou village spread out across the territory of 1,500 sq.m and it continues to destroy wild bushes, carob and olive trees. 25 fire engines and vehicles from the Forestry department are working on site.
