Law Commissioner submits compliance report to government

Nicosia, Cyprus. The Office of the Law Commissioner on Monday submitted to the government its latest report on actions required to ensure full compliance with existing legislation.

The report covers the period from January 1 to June 30, 2026, and addresses the cabinet, ministers and deputy ministers, state officials, government services and public-sector departments.

Monitoring obligations

The Office of the Law Commissioner monitors new laws and regulations published in the government gazette, including legislation ratifying international treaties.

It advises relevant government bodies of the responsibilities arising from those measures.

Outstanding issues

The biannual reports identify new obligations as well as pending matters for which compliance has not yet been achieved.

According to the Office, the reports are intended to help the executive branch identify and implement required actions in a timely manner.

Publication and review

The reports are published online and are also submitted to the House legal affairs committee.
