Nicosia, Cyprus. Monday will see periods of thickening mid-level and high cloud, with temperatures reaching about 26C inland and on the coast. Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday, and temperatures will then ease to just under the seasonal norm.

Monday

Cloud at medium and high levels will increase from time to time. Winds will shift between northeasterly and southeasterly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will range from calm to slight. Highs of around 26C are forecast for inland areas and the coast, with about 18C in the higher mountains.

Monday night

Skies will stay mostly clear, though low cloud will build up in some places. Winds will come mainly from the north to northeast, light at first and moderate in certain areas, at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be slight. Temperatures will drop to about 14C inland, 16C on the coast and 9C in the higher mountains.

Tuesday

Cloud will increase locally at intervals. Around midday, isolated showers or thunderstorms may occur, chiefly over the mountains, northern areas and inland parts of the island.

Wednesday and Thursday

Both days will be partly cloudy, with local rain at times. Temperatures will fall gradually and slightly, ending up just below the seasonal average.
