Record high speed registered by the police

Record high speed  demonstrated a 28-year-old motorcyclist. The biker was moving along Nicosia-Limassol highway at a speed of 232 km / h, which is twice as much as the set speed limit. As it turned out later, a young man had no insurance , neither he had a driver’s license to operate the motorcycle.

Another incident is also related to exceeding the speed limit several times. The driver from Limassol, who caused the accident significantly exceeded the alcohol limit showing 106 μg/l, instead of the legal blood alcohol concentration of 22 μg/l.

Earlier this week, police also reported detention of a 44-year-old driver from Nicosia, who has collected 73 unpaid fines.
