Summer will arrive late

According to the forecasts, the air temperature in Cyprus will increase during the next few days.

By the 2^nd of June +30°C is expected in Nicosia and around +26–27°C in the coastal areas. The temperature in the mountains is expected be slightly lower: +23°C.

The arrival of summer is very late this year. the end of May was surprisingly cold and cloudy which is very unusual for this time of the year.

Last Friday, hail and even snow powder fell in the mountains.

The Cypriot farmers have already reported to the Ministry of Agriculture about the damage caused by the thunderstorms and rains which hit the fields last Friday.
