Teenager dies in hospital after e-scooter collision in Aglandjia

Nicosia, Cyprus. Aris Papacharalambous, 16, died on Saturday after being hospitalised since August 7, police said. He was struck by a car while riding an e-scooter on Larnaca avenue in Aglandjia in the early hours of that day.

Driver’s alcohol reading

In a statement issued at the time of the collision, police said the driver was allegedly found to have an alcohol reading of 73mg per 100ml, compared with the legal limit of 22mg per 100ml. Papacharalambous had remained in hospital since the collision.
