“Depart in Peace” – Easter concerts in Larnaca and Nicosia

Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of April at 20:30

The Easter concerts “Depart in Peace” will be held in Larnaca and Nicosia.

The soloists of the Cyprus orchestra Elli Koutsouli (soprano) and Michalis Kouloumis (violin) under the direction of conductor Alkis Baltas will perform the works of Vivaldi, Tavener, Paisiello and Theodorkais.

The programme includes:

• A. Vivaldi: Sinfonia Al Santo Sepolcro, RV 169;
• D. Tavener: “Depart in Peace” for solo soprano, solo violin, tampura and strings;
• D. Paisiello: Sinfonia Funebre;
• M. Theodorakis: A day in May, Weeping eyes, My mother is weeping at the tomb,
  Sorrow has no words (arr. Α. Baltas)
