Evening function dedicated to the celebration of the Victory Day

Monday, 8^th May at 7pm

The Russian Cultural Centre in Nicosia invites everyone to a solemn evening, held as part of a special programme of events in honour of the Victory Day, scheduled in the largest cities of the Republic of Cyprus from May 5 -9 .

The evening program will include:

• A special concert and reception;
• Ceremony of honouring the veterans of the Second World War living in Cyprus – commemorative medals to be presented to the veterans sent from Moscow;
• Performance of the artists of the world-famous foundation of Boris Hristov – the best arias of Russian opera, romances and songs from the War years, accompanied by Alex Zografov, a well known maestro of classical music;
• Performance of the Russian art duet Grail and the leading soloists of the Theatre of Moscow State Academic Operetta Maxim Katyrev and Yulia Goncharova.

The special evening program dedicated to the celebration of the Victory Day will be held with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Cyprus, the Russian Cultural Centre, the Coordinating Committee of Russian Compatriots in the Republic of Cyprus, the Cyprus-Russia Friendship Association and the Metropolis of Tamassos and Oreini of Cyprus Orthodox Church.
