“Solaris” – film by Andrey Tarkovskiy

The screening of the film “Solaris” (1972) directed by the famous Soviet movie director Andrey Tarkovskiy will be organised in Nicosia.

“Solaris” – is drama based on the homonymous novel written by Stanislav Lehm. The plot is set in the future. The employees of the space station are carrying out, what they believe, pointless research of the Solaris planet. Psychologist Chris Kalvin undertakes to reveal the secrets of the mysterious planet and to shut down the research programme. He believes that other scientists on the space station are gone crazy and then he becomes haunted as well..

The film will be shown with English subtitles.
