The 32nd International Festival in Ayia-Napa

From Thursday 22^nd until Sunday 25^th of September

One of the most popular and anticipated events on the island – The 32^nd Ayia-Napa International Festival will take place on the Central Square of the city.

The festival will include the music performances of various state orchestras and choirs, demonstration of the traditional handicrafts, agricultural fair and several exhibitions.

The programme of the festival:

Thursday 22^nd of September

• 19:00 — «Music from around the world»: performances by the orchestras from the local town and villages;
• 19:30 — «Exporing the past through song and danceе»: performance by the local music and dance groups.

Friday 23^rd of September

• 21:00 — «Cyprus-Crete is one Sea»: Perfromance by the Ayia-Napa Municipality and Retimno Municipality (Crete) dance groups.

Saturday 24^th of September

• from 19:30 until 20:00 —  Performance by the Cyprus Police orchestra at the central roundabout;
• 20:00 — Official opening of the Festival;
• 20:30 — Welcome speech by the Mayor of Ayia-Napa – Mr. Yiannis Karousos, fireworks;
• 21:00 — Sunwashed: music concert based on the works written by Stamatis Spanoudakis.

Sunday 25^th of Sptember

• 17:00 —  Guiness World Record Attempt in the mass dancing of the Sousta dance;
• 20:00 — Performance by the Georgian folk dance group – “Iberia”.;
• 20:30 — Announcement of the 33^rd Ayia-Napa International Festival in 2017;
• 21:00 — Performance by the St.Petersburg Accordion orchestra of Pavel Smirnov.
