Ayia Napa Flood, Fish and Water Festivals

From Friday 2nd June to Monday 5th June

Kataklysmos or the flood festival is celebrated in Cyprus for more than 2,000 years.

The 4-day Flood, Fish and Water Festivals will take place in Ayia-Napa with the participation of popular Greek music bands and singers.

The festival will feature the Jet Ski contest, traditional dancing, fireworks, water fly board show and various concerts.

Schedule of the festival:

Friday  2nd of June

  • from 11:00 until 19:00 – Flyboard show (30 minutes every 2 hours);

Saturday 3rd of June

  • from 11:00 until 19:00 – Flyboard show (30 minutes every 2 hours);
  • 19:30 – Ayia Napa Municipal Dancing Group dance performance;
  •  20:30 – Dances by the Association f Pontian Eptamilies “The Akrites” from the Prefecture of Serres – Greece;
  • Concert with the famous Greek artist Babis Stokas and Prospectus.

Sunday 4th of June

  • 11:00 – Pancyprian Jet Ski competition and flyboard show;
  • 20:00 – Opening ceremony with the participation of  Cyprus Police Forces Philharmonic band; Address by the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Yiannis Karousos and by the Director of the Office of the President Mr. Michalis Sofokleous
  • Twinning Ceremony between Ayia Napa Municipality – Cyprus and the Municipality of Serres – Greece
  • Fireworks and flyboard show;
  • 21:30 – Concert of the famous Greek artist Antipas and Prodromos.

Monday 5th of June

  • 07:00 – Church service at the  Saint George’s Chapel at the Ayia Napa harbour;
  • 09:00 – Blessing of the water at Ayia Napa harbour and boat mini trips;
  • from 10:00 until 13:00 – Water festival and flyboard show;
  • 18:00 – Traditional Cypriot songs, love songs and poems competition;
  • 21:30 – Greek music by the Ayia Napa Cultural Association’s Music Band “Cavo Greko”.
