The air space above Nicosia is overcrowded

The safe air passages and military training are overloading the air space above Nicosia.

During the last few days, the ATC in Larnaca is struggling to direct the commercial planes to the Larnaca and Paphos airports through the narrow “safe” passages, because the air space above Nicosia is busy due to the military exercises of 10 different countries.

The Nicosia air space and the EEZ of Cyprus are hosting the military exercises of the aircraft carriers from Russia, USA, France, U.K, Israel and Turkey. They are scheduled to end on 15^th of December.
